Who Was Man Of The Match? Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid is back on their domestic campaign after the international break. They were visiting Granada this weekend to snatch maximum points so that they could climb on the top of the table and definitely avoid only picking up one point just like when they were playing host to Villareal. As expected, things went as planned.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men barely had no difficulty in this fixture. The Italian boss opted for his best starting XI and did not include Gareth Bale in the traveling squad plus kept Marcelo, who is likely to be shown the door in January transfer window, on the bench. Los Blancos convincingly trashed the home side 4-1. Marco Asensio opened the scoring, followed by Nacho as he tucked away the ball after taking advantage of Toni Kross’s pass. Luis Suarez gave a slight hope for the home fans before the interval. Yet, that was the only goal Robert Moreno’s side could ever score since Karim Benzema and Co were taking charge of the game. Real Madrid extended their lead twice through Vinicius Junior and Ferland Mandy.

The Brazilian Vinicius Junior has been named the man of the match in spite of only scoring one easy goal. He was actively involved in the attacking build up on the left side. The 21-year old winger often relied on his acceleration to break into Granada’s defence line.
