Who Was Man Of The Match? N’Golo Kanté
Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to six points with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Leicester in the King Power Stadium.
Thomas Tuchel’s side increased their lead over Manchester City this weekend, while Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester suffered their fifth defeat of the campaign keeping them 12th in the table.
Chelsea started the game on front foot and dominated the possession. At 14 minutes, Antonio Rudiger scored the game’s first goal before N’Golo Kante added a second with the visitors 2-0 up before halftime. Kante is our Man of the Match for this game.
Brendan Rodgers made a string of changes during the interval and was forced to change the system. On 71 minutes, the United States international Christian Pulisic made it three, essentially ending any hopes of a comeback.
Jorginho went off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury late in the game, so it wasn’t all smiles for the visitors. Many of the home fans had enough and made their way to the exits when Chelsea scored their third. Pressure mounting on Leicester and Rodgers.
If Manchester City beats Everton on Sunday, they may cut Chelsea’s lead to three points once again, while Liverpool can momentarily leapfrog City ahead of their home match against Arsenal on Saturday evening.
