Who Was Man Of The Match? RB Leipzig 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

RB Leipzig vs Borussia Dortmund match analysis and player of the game report.

RB Leipzig faces another challenge this weekend. After a tight affair while hosting PSG in the midweek, they played host to Borussia Dortmund, who sat second on the table. Luckily, the visitors did not have their prolific striker, Erling Haaland in the line up. His replacement, Donyel Malen, has not been able to put his best performance yet, nad his form carried on into this match. Unfortunately, the Dutch forward’s adjustment issue in Die Borussen led to a negative result at the critical time like this. Marco Rose’s men slumped to a 2-1 defeat from Leipzig.

The home side was more dangerous upfront with Nkunku featuring as the false nine supported by Dominik Szoboszlai and Yusuf Poulsen behind him. Nkunku opened the scoring after rounding the ball over Gregor Kobel before finding the back of the net. He had another opportunity to add his tally at the second half, should his strike in the six yard box had not hit the post after Marco Reus bagged the equaliser. However, the French man found his redemption as he turned provider for the second goal. The Danish international Yusuf Poulsen tapped the ball into the net on 68th minute.
