Who Was Man Of The Match? Manchester City 4-1 Club Brugges
It was easy pickings for Manchester City as they cruised past Club Brugges on Matchday 4.
Man City found themselves top of the group comprising of the likes of Paris Saint Germain, RB Leipzig after they beat Club Brugges in Group A.
It was a goalfest as the two scored 5 goals between them. 4 scored by Manchester City. 3 of those were assisted by João Cancelo. playing on the left.
Phil Foden opened the scoring early in the first half, scoring the games first in the 15th minute, but Brugges surprisingly equalised right after, with John Stones finding his own net just two minutes after City had taken the lead.
City couldn’t add to their tally in the first half as the two teams went into half time with the score at 1-1.
Second half however, was City in terms of everything, including the goals as City added three more. João Cancelo after assisting the first, added two more assists in the same as he also contributed to the second and fourth goals, scored by Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus. Jesus scored City’s fourth in the 91st minute, adding to Brugges misery.
Cancelo, along with this partners in defence will be frustrated to concede a goal. but Pep Guardiola will be delighted to have scored 4 goals in a delightful fashion, and go top of the group.
