Who Was Man Of The Match? Inter Milan 2-0 Udinese

Match Report and Man Of The Match analysis.

Inter Milan was playing host to Udinese with full of confidence. After squandering against his former side, Simone Inzaghi’s teamwent back on the right track on the road to defending their title. This weekend, Inzaghi did rotate the line up after the midweek fixture, especially with Correa and Dzeko upfront, instead of employing Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez. They sealed another 2-0 win after a victory on the same scoreline in the previous outing while traveling to Empoli.

In the first half, despite their superior in holding the ball, Inter was unable to break the deadlock. Their opposition’s tweaking formation to 3-4-2-1 instead of the regular 3-5-2 did almost leave them frustrated. However, in the second half, Nerrazurri’s hard work paid off as Joaquin Correa managed to bag a brace after taking advantage of two passes from Alessandro Bastoni and the Dutch international Denzel Dumfries. The Argentine forward’s double long range shots were unable to be blocked by Luca Gotti’s men.

No wonder that the former Lazio man was eventually named the man of the match, despite only playing for less than 70 minutes. He was able to show his finishing quality when needed. Correa was fairly effective as he could convert his two attempts into the winning goals for Inter.
