Who was Man Of The Match? Mohamed Salah

Liverpool hammered Manchester United 5-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday in the Premier League, increasing pressure on United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Mohamed Salah scored a hat trick. The Egyptian marvel is our Man of the Match yet again for his world-class performance.

Salah, Diogo Jota, and Naby Keita all scored before halftime, putting United four goals behind for the first time in club history at that point of a game. United looked disjointed.

United’s performance was a disgrace as Liverpool took advantage of some shoddy defence and dodgy tactics, taking the lead after only five minutes through Naby Keita’s low finish after being let through on goal.

After a mistake between Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw, Diogo Jota made it 2-0 at the far post from Trent Alexander-cross.

Mohamed Salah scored for the 10th consecutive game in all competitions, converting Keita’s feed near post. Salah completed his hat-trick just before Paul Pogba was sent off for a violent tackle late in the second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo felt he had scored for United with a magnificent piece of individual quality on 52 minutes, but VAR replays revealed he was offside in the build-up, and the goal was disallowed.

United managed to avoid further harm, but the pressure on Solskjaer is at an all-time high after conceding 11 goals in three games and sitting eight points off the top of a Premier League they had pledged to contend for following a busy summer window.

After Jurgen Klopp’s 200th win as a manager, Liverpool moves into second place and has been undefeated since May.
