Who was Man Of The Match? Mason Mount
Mason Mount’s hat-trick spurred Thomas Tuchel’s team to a crushing 7-0 victory over bottom-placed Norwich at Stamford Bridge, ensuring Chelsea’s place at the top of the Premier League for at least another week.
Mount opened the scoring on eight minutes with a drilled effort from outside the 18-yard box into the lower left-hand corner, ending his barren run in front of goal.

The Blues’ defenders were barely challenged, and the goals kept coming at the other end, as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James put them up to three goals at halftime.
After the restart, Norwich’s difficulties increased as Ben Chilwell extended his impressive scoring streak before an own goal by Max Aarons capped off a disastrous afternoon for Daniel Farke’s side, who also saw Ben Gibson sent off in the second half.
Late on in the game, Chelsea was given a penalty for a handball, which Mount took but Krul saved. The penalty, however, was retaken after it was determined that the Dutch goalie had stepped over the line.
Mount made no mistakes on his second effort, easily beating Krul. He scored his third goal with a strike right down the middle of Norwich’s goal late in additional time.
Mason Mount is selected as our Man of the Match today for his impressive performance.

Chelsea will remain in the first position for another week after expanding their advantage over second-placed Liverpool to four points ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s side’s Super Sunday match against Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Norwich’s Premier League woes persist. They are still in the Premier League’s relegation zone following a humiliating day in west London, and their hunt for their first win this season keeps going.
