Who Was Man Of The Match? Club Brugge 1-5 Manchester City
Who was Man Of The Match? Riyad Mahrez
Manchester City cruised to a 5-1 Champions League victory over Club Brugge on Tuesday.
Following their 2-0 loss at PSG last month, Pep Guardiola’s team was under pressure heading into the match. Club Brugge came into the game one point ahead of the Premier League champions. Still, any tension was swiftly dispelled as the visitors went into halftime with a 2-0 lead due to goals from Joao Cancelo and Riyad Mahrez.
Early in the second half, Walker finished off another quick passing sequence to give the Premier League side a third goal.
After 67 minutes, City made it 4-0 when Palmer scored his first Champions League goal with a precise finish in the bottom corner.
City were unable to preserve a clean sheet as Vanaken slipped the ball past Ederson to score a late consolation goal. Moments later, Mahrez scored his second goal of the night to give the Premier League champions a convincing victory.
Riyad Mahrez is our Man of the Match tonight for his another brilliant attacking display in Europe.
