Who was Man Of The Match? Marc Cucurella
Arsenal’s three-game winning streak in the Premier League came to a halt at The Amex Stadium against Brighton, as the clubs drew 0-0 in rainy and windy conditions.
Mikel Arteta’s team was lucky to get a point following their stunning derby triumph over Tottenham last week.
Brighton dominated for the duration of the game, but their offense lacked a cutting edge. Most of their attacking threat came from the left side with Marc Cucurella providing the width. He is our Man of the Match for this game.
Both teams were limited to long-range attempts, and neither goalkeeper was seriously challenged until Emile Smith Rowe forced a save from Robert Sanchez in the 76th minute.

Both teams were culpable of missing a clinical final finish in a game that generated 29 shots, 21 of which came from Brighton, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck the post for Arsenal and Shane Duffy wasted the hosts’ finest opportunity late on.
The wet conditions had little effect on Brighton, who dominated and controlled the game throughout the first half.
With five minutes remaining, substitute Solly March had a wonderful chance to win the game, but Aaron Ramsdale easily handled his weak effort.
Arsenal’s night was made much worse as Bukayo Saka went out with an injury late in the game.
It was another clean sheet for Aaron Ramsdale, and a new back four defence which has only allowed one goal in their past four Premier League games. Ramsdale had to be at his best in the closing ten minutes, making four stops to keep his team in the game.

Brighton is now in fifth place ahead of the international break, while Arsenal is in ninth.
