Who was Man Of The Match? Federico Chiesa
Juventus have had a tough start to the season, and currently lie 10th in Serie A. They were playing European Champions Chelsea in the second game of the Champions League in which Chelsea were touted to be clear favourites, but Juventus managed to beat them 1-0. For his goal, and all round play, Federico Chiesa is the man of the match.
Both Thomas Tuchel and Massimiliano Allegri fielded the strongest eleven but neither were able to break the deadlock in the first half. Both teams went into the dressing room at the break, with nothing to show for, but Juventus broke the deadlock as soon as they came back on the pitch. Chiesa made a fine run into the penalty area, where Federico Bernardeschi found him and Chiesa blasted the ball into the roof of the net which was the only goal of the game.
Tuchel played all the cards by bringing on players off the bench, but none could affect the game, and the game ended 1-0
