Who was Man Of The Match? Ante Rebic
Ante Rebic’s late header rescued AC Milan a 1-1 draw against Juventus in Serie A on Sunday, keeping Massimiliano Allegri’s side still without a league win this season.
It hasn’t been a great start to the season for Juventus, but they did look like securing their first win tonight. Alvaro Morata scored to give the hosts a perfect start. The Spaniard sprinted free from his own half to score a wonderful solo goal.
Juventus dominated the first half against an injured Milan side that was without a number of key players, including experienced striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as Paulo Dybala came close to scoring a second goal from a fair way out.
Juve’s lack of efficiency in the attacking third cost them all three points, as Croatian Rebic rose highest to equalize from a corner late in the second half.
Late in the game, substitute Pierre Kalulu believed he had won it for Milan, only to be repelled by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny’s spectacular save.
With 10 points after four games, Milan has reclaimed the second position from AS Roma, who lost earlier today. At the same time, Juventus, the most successful Serie A club in history, is in 18th place with two points.
There were some good performances from both sides, but AC Milan’s Ante Rebic is our Man of the Match tonight.
