Who was Man Of The Match? Leandro Trossard
Leicester City’s campaign this season does not seem to start off well. They have already suffered three losses and snatched two wins only. This weekend they were beaten 1-2 by Graham Potter’s side on the road in this fairly tight affair. The Foxes’ dominance with more shots on target and could not guarantee their third victory of the season. Brighton got ahead through Neal Maupay’s penalty before the interval. Then, the former Manchester United and Arsenal man, Danny Welbeck extended their lead in the fiftieth minutes. Leicester scored a lifeline via Jamie Vardy eleven minutes later. Brendan Rodgers’ regular tactical approach in employing 4-3-3 formation was already anticipated by Brighton’s solid 3-4-2-1 which has been their trademark formation since Potter took charge.
None of the those scorers was named as the man of the match. It was in fact the Belgian attacking midfielder Leandro Trossard who earned it. He provided an assist for the second goal and played a central role in the attacking buildup as well as creating chances for his teammates. Trossard had some decent chances too to add his tally.

If Trossard was the star of the home side, it was his teammate in the Belgian national team, Youri Tielemans, who was the star of the visiting side. He made several attempts, but none were successful. The former Monaco star helped defensively by making crucial tackles and blocking shots. His role as a number six with playmaking ability in Rodgers’ lineup should be useful in creating chances, but aside from Vardy, The Foxes’ forwards have not been in good form today.
