Who Was Man Of The Match? Fabinho

Liverpool were playing Leeds United at Elland Road after 17 years, and showed sheer dominance in a well deserved 3-0 victory. It was an end to end thriller, and Leeds threatened the Liverpool goal multiple times, playing at their usual intensity, but couldn’t find the back of the net. One of the big reasons Leeds could not find the goal was the solid Liverpool defence, aided by the presence of Fabinho in the midfield. Fabinho put in a stellar performance, breaking Leeds attacks time and again, and also contributing with a goal. For his stellar contributions, he’s today’s man of the match.

Liverpool opened the proceedings first, as Mo Salah found the back of the net after 20 minutes. Fabinho scored the second 5 minutes in the second half, while Sadio Mane scored the final goal of the game. Leeds found themselves a man down, after Pascal Struijk was sent off for a challenge on Liverpool youngster, Harvey Elliott. Elliott had a great game himself in midfield, alongside Fabinho, until he had to be stretchered off after the challenge.

Liverpool are now level on points on the top of the Premier League table with Chelsea and Manchester United with 10 points off the first four games.
