Who Was Man Of The Match? Leandro Trossard
Brighton and the newcomers Brentford had a pretty impressive start to the new season as both teams look to stay up in the premier league.
This was their first meeting in the Premier League history. It was tight, but a dull affair as both teams looked to cancel out each other and keep a clean sheet.
Both teams have been very impressive in their defensive setup until now and will be a tough nut to crack for the so-called big teams in the Premier League.
Brighton dominated the ball possession with 59% in their favour, but they didn’t create much from the open play. They gave away a lot of free-kicks around the box, but it didn’t cost them much as Ivan Toney and co were poor at finishing or making anything from it.
Games like these need an early goal to make things interesting, but today it wasn’t to be. However, we got to see one late goal from Leandro Trossard, our man of the match today. Brighton played with width and most of their attacks came from the left side including the winner. It was a very well taken goal after a beautiful play by Alexis Mac Allister, who came on as a sub in the 62nd minute.

Ivan Toney had a decent game as he looked very dominant in the air yet again, with 5 Aerial Duals won. His goal contribution is a bit of a concern for the Bees as they want him to bring his impressive championship goal-scoring record to the Premier League. If the Bees stay up, Toney will be the key part of it.
