Liverpool and Burnley meet in gameweek two in front of the Anfield crowd on Saturday lunchtime. Last Saturday, Jurgen Klopp’s side cruised to a 3-0 victory over Norwich City, while Burnley were beaten 2-1 at home by Brighton. However, Liverpool did lose 1-0 to Sean Dyche’s team last season so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top today.
The Clarets look to repeat the heroics of last season as they travel to Anfield on Saturday. It’s Burnley’s first game of the season to be shown live on TV and they’ve brought out a new away kit for the occasion. White shirt with light blue pin stripes going down it. I think this is going to be a favourite of Alan Pace. If you add buttons going down the front, it will look identical to an American baseball shirt.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Clarets gave away a one goal lead and lost their opening game against Brighton. Goals from Neil Maupay and Alexis Macallister turned the game on its head and gave the Seagulls a 2-1 lead at Turf Moor.
Liverpool brushed aside new boys Norwich with a 3-0 win at Carrow Road. Goals from Jota, Firmino and Salah gained three points for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
